Cafe Richmond sits quietly within a modern mixed-use complex at Richmond Square, blending into a space shared with yoga studios and offices. This cafe feels like a neighborhood spot geared mostly toward grab-and-go rather than lingering over a laptop or long conversations, with just a handful of small tables tucked inside. It’s the kind of place you might pop into during a busy workday or on a sunny walk near the nearby dog park.

The menu leans on approachable, fresh offerings that fit well with a quick bite or light lunch. Options like a buffalo chicken wrap and avocado & tomato on sourdough reflect a simple, health-conscious angle, while freshly baked muffins and scones make it easy to grab a wholesome breakfast or snack. Drinks cover a modest range, from lemonade to juices and bottled water, complementing the focus on quick refreshment.

Locals seem to appreciate this spot for its straightforward coffee and friendly service, especially during seasonal community events like the RI Food Fights, where it draws in both coffee enthusiasts and folks eager to try local flavors. New ownership has brought a shift toward creative specials — for example, sandwiches named after Grateful Dead members, adding a bit of local personality to the lineup.

Parking is easy here, which makes it convenient for nearby office workers or visitors to the surrounding neighborhood in Providence. The vibe is relaxed, though not designed for extended visits, as takeaway dominates the scene with only takeaway cups available and limited seating inside. Morning and lunch hours are likely the best times to swing by, whether you’re picking up a simple breakfast, a midday sandwich, or a good iced coffee to fuel your afternoon.

Overall, Cafe Richmond serves as a practical stop for Providence locals who want something quick and fresh without fuss, blending into the everyday rhythms of the area rather than standing out as a destination cafe experience.

Plenty of parking here in a full lot. Mostly set up for to-go. They have a few tables but everyone while I was there only got things for take out. Interesting little cafe in a place that feels like an nice updated apartment complex but There’s yoga places and offices inside. Okay pricing. Seems like they only have take away cups and not cups for dine in.

What a delightful new discovery! Went as part of the RIFoodfights Iced Coffee Challenge. I didn’t know about this adorable spot. Great coffee, fun flavors, good sandwiches, fab location near the dog park. Be sure and visit her sister’s bakery, Sweet Deliveries, too!

Stopped by for RI Food Fights, got an iced coffee with caramel and oat milk. The coffee was good but the food was out of this world! I had the opportunity to try the special: rice and beans. It was so flavorful! Definitely get it before it disappears!!! The new owner was so friendly! Can’t wait to go back!

I visited Cafe Richmond as part of the RI Food Fights Iced Coffee Summer Celebration. The coffee and staff were wonderful! I did not order anything to eat but the food smelled delicious. I will definitely be back!

Stopped in to pick up lunch. They’ve reopened under new ownership. Off to a great start! Specials today were sandwiches named after deceased members of the Grateful Dead - my roast beef one had all the flavor and complexity of a Jerry solo (on a good day). Fresh and tangy!

I just had another amazing lunch from Cafe Richmond. Jeff and his son are great people and Jeff makes the best red beans and rice I've ever had. We're very lucky to have such a great food option in our building.
